Landlords have been advised to think about renting out their properties through a letting agent as they can take responsibility for the upkeep of homes.<\/p>\n
According to letting agent body Arla, landlords may find it is easier to find a tenant through an agent, as well as being able to allow them to handle the property management side of the business.<\/p>\n
“A good agent should be able to help a landlord find reliable tenants, conducting the relevant reference and credit checks and ultimately helping to protect your investment,” commented the letting agent.<\/p>\n
It added that landlords can also expect letting agents to help with aspects of property management such as repairs and maintenance, which can save hassle.<\/p>\n
Back in July 2010, Arla stated that the lack of supply of available properties in the private rented sector was getting worse.<\/p>\n
Some 70 per cent of the letting agent body’s members said there are more tenants than homes to let on the market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
