{"id":35,"date":"2010-02-19T08:51:08","date_gmt":"2010-02-19T08:51:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/craven-wildsmith.co.uk\/blog\/archives\/35"},"modified":"2010-02-19T08:51:08","modified_gmt":"2010-02-19T08:51:08","slug":"uk-landlords-should-feel-optimistic-about-rental-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/craven-wildsmith.co.uk\/blog\/archives\/35","title":{"rendered":"UK landlords &#8216;should feel optimistic about rental market&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Landlords in the UK should feel optimistic about the state of the rental market, according to one expert.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman for the National Approved Letting Scheme (Nals), says: &#8220;All of the demographics point to the fact that there is more and more need for rental properties, and that&#8217;s looking good [for] the future.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>His comments come in response to recent findings from the monthly Upad landlord confidence index, which reveal that 57 per cent of British landlords feel more confident about the buy-to-let market than they did last month.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, the Council of Mortgage Lenders recently reported that new buy-to-let lending increased for the second consecutive quarter in the last three months of 2009.<\/p>\n<p>During this period some 25,800 new home loans were approved.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Paragon Mortgages recently found that ten per cent of landlords are looking to expand their property portfolio during the first three months of this year.<\/p>\n<p>The Nals spokesman advises that due to this positive outlook there is no reason why UK landlords should not feel confident about the current state of the buy-to-let market.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a9 Houseladder Ltd Posted: 12 Feb 2010 10:28:01 GMT<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Landlords in the UK should feel optimistic about the state of the rental market, according to one expert.
